Client C - Money Reset + longer-term coaching

From overdrafting and maxed-out credit card to steady progress, deeper self-trust, and long-term change.

Snapshot

Single woman whose income had recently doubled, but whose spending patterns and financial stress were still keeping her stuck.

The Challenge

When she came to me, she had recently stepped into a new position that doubled her income. But despite earning more, she was still spending every penny and more.

She was regularly overdrafting her account, her credit cards were maxed out, and she was fed up with herself.

She had strong goals: paying off debt, improving her credit score, and eventually building a new home. But progress felt frustratingly slow, especially when more things kept popping up and it felt like every step forward got interrupted.

She was also extremely hard on herself around money, which only added more shame and pressure to the situation.

What we worked on

We began with the practical side of money, but it quickly became clear that budgeting alone was not the whole answer.

As we worked together, we moved beyond the numbers and into the deeper patterns underneath them - mindset, emotional responses, self-trust, and the way she related to money and to herself.

Because she had meaningful goals and was willing to stay with the process, our work continued beyond the initial short-term container and became longer-term coaching.

The Shift

As her awareness deepened, she began to understand what was really driving her financial behavior. That shift helped her make changes that were not just temporary, but more sustainable.

She was also able to apply what we coached on to other areas of her life, including work and relationships.

One of the biggest wins was that she did not have to completely overhaul her lifestyle to make progress. Much of the overspending had been on things she did not truly value, so as that became clearer, she was able to redirect more money toward debt payoff and savings without feeling deprived.

Over time, she became more willing to pause, sit with her feelings, and choose a different response instead of reacting automatically. She shifted away from feeling like life and money were constantly happening to her and into a much more grounded, responsive way of handling both.

That inner shift supported the outer results: she was able to make meaningful progress toward debt reduction and savings while building a much stronger foundation for her long-term goals.

For some clients, the real transformation is not just getting a system in place - it's staying long enough to change the patterns underneath it.
